The shop was taken over by the members of the <strong>Associazione Produttori Valteggina Km0<\/strong>, together with the <strong>Condotta Slow Food Casentino<\/strong> organization and some local customers. The activity began in 2022 and from 2023 it became part of the <strong>Earth Markets<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/piazzaverticale.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/pallereto-300x225-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" \/>The shop was created to promote and enhance the local agricultural and artisanal products. It is an important point of reference for the inhabitants of neighbouring municipalities, which in recent years have seen a significant decrease in all nearby commercial activities. This initiative provides a concrete opportunity to close the supply chain and increase the income of the small local businesses involved. Additionally, outside of public opening hours, the shop\/market also functions as a multifunctional open-view workshop for processing <strong>fruits<\/strong> and <strong>vegetables<\/strong> into preserves and <strong>baked products<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to weekly openings, the Market also operates outside the shop on various occasions, organizing outreach activities, and participating in local fairs and festivals as a traveling market.
